After close to half a million power outages caused by Montreal's freezing rain storm, Hydro Quebec took the stand today in a press conference to answer Quebec's pressing questions.

Pierre Fitzgibbon, Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy, first adressed the crowd by mentioning that Hydro Quebec has 'the people it needs' to solve the power outage issues across the region.

Régis Tellier, Hydro Quebec's Vice-President of Operations and Maintenance, followed by confirming that 327,000 Montrealers are still without power at this time. The majority of clients without electricity should have services restored by Sunday, with a few exceptional cases to be restored on Monday.

"There's no question that we're living a crisis. But let's remember we're not where we were in 1998," said Fitzgibbon when answering a question about the quality of Hydro Quebec's services.

Looks like we're still in this for a while, Montreal! If you can, shack up with someone who is lucky enough to still have power this weekend!
