It's no secret that Montreal has talent when it comes to music. From singers, to musicians and all the way to orchestra leaders (hello, Yannick Nézet-Séguin!), Montreal is where it's at when it comes to music.

While you might think you know all of Montreal's talented artists, we bet you didn't know these singers are from Montreal too!

Charlotte Cardin

First on our list has to be the queen of Quebec pop herself, Charlotte Cardin. From her first public appearance on Quebec's version of 'The Voice' in 2013 to her songs now being played internationally, Charlotte Cardin truly is the 'Main Girl'. Listen to her hits 'Meaningless' and 'Confetti' on our station!

Simple Plan

Next time you sing the lyrics to 'Welcome To My Life', just remember that they were written and performed by a Montreal band. Formed in 1999 with Pierre Bouvier, Chuck Comeau, Jeff Stinco and Sebastien Lefebvre, 'Simple Plan' first saw the day with their debut album in 2002. Since then, they've come to write and produce five whole albums with chart-topping hits such as 'I'm Just A Kid', and 'Summer Paradise'.

Patrick Watson

Patrick Watson's melodies not only have the power of serenading a crowd, but they've also won this artist spots on highly-acclaimed TV shows and movies, such as Grey's Anatomy, The Walking Dead, Suits, Orange Is The New Black, Step Up: Revolution, and more! If we had to add one thing on our bucket list, it would definitely be to attend a Patrick Watson show.

Arcade Fire

It isn't a list of Montreal artists without Arcarde Fire. This early 2000's rock band truly made its mark with hits like 'Wake Up' (the montreal band even earned 'Album Of The Year' in 2010 at the 53rd GRAMMY Awards!) Besides, they're a classic!

Black Atlass

Known for his hit 'Paris', featured in fashion ads such as Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent, Black Atlass is definitely one to watch. This montreal-born singer was even named Vogue's 'Artist of The Week' in 2013 AND appeared on the 'Fifty Shades Freed' soundtrack with his song 'Sacrifice'!

BRB, immediately adding this artist to our playlist.
