Are you a regular passenger in Montreal's buses and metros? Then this might concern you.

Montreal's ARTM (Regional Public Transport Authority) revealed yesterday that STM's fares will increase starting July 1st. More specifically, here are the increases to be expected:

  • Single-zone bus passes will increase to $3.75
  • Double-zone bus passes (between Montreal, Longueuil and Laval) will stay $4.50
  • Monthly single-zone passes will increase to $97
  • Monthly double-zone passes will increase to $155
  • Three-zone fares will increase to $6.50
  • Four-zone fares will increase to $9

The reduced rates for children and students will remain the same, whereas rates for those 65 years and older will be free

In this new plan, the ARTM will also be introducing new 24-hour fares and 3-day passes for Montrealers.
