If we had to name the perfect spot for a picnic, it would probably be this one. Montreal's very own Japanese Garden, part of the Botanical Garden, is hosting a special picnic under its blossom trees this Sunday!
From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, Montrealers can enjoy a custom o-hanami experience, true to Japanese culture, all while admiring the beauty of the surrounding cherry blossom trees.
Plus, authentic lunch boxes will be served!
A little birdie told us that these lunch boxes would contain everything your japanese food loving heart desires, from sushi rolls, to grilled salmon and all the way to seaweed treats. Attendees of the picnic will have the chance to customize their lunch boxes with the following selection of menu items:
- futomaki (sushi roll)
- karaage (fried chicken)
- shioyaki (grilled salmon)
- amazu tsukune (chicken meatball)
- sunomono (seaweed, white fish and noddle salad)
- gomaae (spinach with sesame and soy sauce)
- ...and more!
These special lunch boxes will go for $26 each, along with entry to the garden for $17 per adult.
