With the summer season, also comes...heat waves. As Montreal is expecting particularly high temperatures over the week, it's important that you stay safe and healthy. Follow these 5 tips below to 'Beat' the heat!
1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
Although this one is kind of a given, it's important that you HYDRATE! Drink loooots of water and give water-filled fruits and veggies a try! Think watermelon, cucumber, strawberries, peaches, bell peppers, broccoli, and more!
2. Eat light meals
Nothing will help you more than eating light meals in times of high heat. Opt for salads, sandwiches or chicken and you'll be facing the heat with more ease than you think!
3. Give the cold compress a try
Although an old trick, this one is a must. Apply an ice pack on the warmest parts of your body or dampen a cloth with cold water for a cool relief.
4. Eat spicy foods!
