After dealing with a bacterial infection that brought her to the ICU in late June, 'Material Girl' star Madonna has unfortunately postponed the North American leg of her 'Celebration' tour.
This, in turn, unfortunately means Montrealers will have to hold tight before they get to see the international pop star perform. Instead, Madonna will kick off her tour in Europe instead, with her first show set to kick off in London, England, on October 14.
“My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can,” she said. “I couldn’t be more grateful for your care and support,” the star said in a post following the announcement.
For those of you with tickets to Madonna's planned Montreal shows in August, don't toss them just yet! The two shows planned on August 19 and 20 have simply been postponed.
