It’s Friday the 13th! This day particularly has a history of being the scariest of the year (after Halloween, of course…)

On Friday the 13th, which occurs on average 1.72 times per year, we must be more weary than usual. Here are some Friday the 13th superstitions you should be careful with:

Breaking a mirror

Don’t do it or you’ll get 7 years of bad luck!

Opening an umbrella indoors

This will only bring you showers of bad luck.

Walking under a ladder

Just don’t do it!

Spilling salt

Sometimes adding just a little bit of salt actually can do harm.

Stepping on a crack

That one is definitely a no-go.

Letting a black cat cross your path

The most historic superstition of them all. If you cross one, look the other way!
