Diddy has been accused of rape and abuse in a new lawsuit.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six on Thursday, Me & U singer Casandra Ventura has filed a complaint against the music mogul - claiming that he raped and abused her during their relationship.
The documents alleged that Diddy “was prone to uncontrollable rage, and frequently beat Ms Ventura savagely” while they dated.
Although his “beatings” were allegedly often witnessed by Diddy’s staff, no one “dared to speak up against their frightening and ferocious boss”.
Diddy and Ventura met in 2005 when the singer was 19, and sustained an on-and-off relationship from 2007 to 2018. During their relationship, Diddy reportedly forced Ventura to have sex with male prostitutes, physically abused her, and supplied her with drugs.
Ventura also recalled being forced to carry Diddy’s firearm in her purse, as a reminder of “his ability to cause serious harm”.
Towards the end of their relationship, the Revolt CEO allegedly forced his way into Ventura’s home and raped her.
“Over the years that Mr Combs abused Ms Ventura physically and sexually, she again and again tried to escape his tight hold over her life,” the suit explained. “Every time she hid, Mr Combs’s vast network of corporations and affiliated entities found her, and those who worked for Mr Combs’s companies implored her to return to him.”
It continued, “Many went as far as to explicitly state that her failure to return to Mr Combs would hinder her success in the entertainment industry.”
In a statement, Ventura added, “After years in silence and darkness. I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”
An attorney for Diddy denied the accusations.
