While gifts are always nice to receive, sometimes they're just not what you need (or want.) So before you get a polite 'Thanks, but no thanks' from your friends and family this holiday season, make sure you DON'T get them any of these gifts!
1. Loud toys
Sure, jingle bells are all fun and games...until your kids start playing with them non-stop day and night. So think twice before you ring in on this gift idea!
2. Exercise equipment
While working out may be part of their New Year's resolutions, exercise equipment is NOT the way to go. Neither is a gym membership!
3. A pet
Puppies and kittens are very cute, we'll admit. But they're also a big responibility! Just be certain that their future owner will be ready to welcome them into their home. If not, you'll be in for some ruff holidays...

4. Plants
Just like a pet, plants also need to be taken care of. So think twice before you offer one to you friends and fam! Besides, think about how difficult that would be to wrap...
5. Decor items
Some people are very picky about how they decorate their home. Avoid the dispute and consider getting them a comfy blanket instead!
6. Cleaning supplies
Now that's just insulting.
7. Clothing
Avoid the awkard moment where you get the wrong size or colour and just DON'T get them any clothes this holiday season!

8. Gift-cards
While this one can be debatable, gift-cards can sometimes show that you didn't really think about what to get for the person. In other words, they're a simple choice.
9. Candles
A candle that smells way too strong and becomes a dust collector? That's not so lit if you ask us.
10. Cheap chocolate or candy
If you're gonna offer them chocolate as a gift, make sure it's the good kind! Think Lindt, Ferrero Rocher, Godiva, Merci...Wow, suddenly our mouths just started watering.
