While sleeping naked in the winter might seem like a strange idea at first (we know, we had the same reaction), turns out that it's actually good for you!

This winter, ditch the fluffy socks and pyjama pants and instead, sleep in your birthday suit! Why, you may ask? Because of these 7 secret advantages:

1. It could help you fall asleep faster

Letting your body temperature cool down actually tells your body that it's time to rest...so take this as a sign!

2. It improves your sleep quality

The ideal temperature for sleeping is usually around 17 degrees celsius...which is hard to achieve when you're fully clothed. So sleep naked, sleep better!

3. It keeps your skin healthy

If sleeping naked helps you get more sleep, this also means more time for your skin to heal and regenerate overnight.

4. It reduces stress

Nothing takes your stress away like a good, naked night's sleep. Who's with us??

5. It prevents weight gain

Keeping your body cool at night might increase your calorie-burning abilities. Who would have thought?

6. It can boost your self-esteem

Yep, that's right! Sleeping naked improves self-love, and therefore gives you that confidence boost you need to get through the day. Try it out and let us know what you think!

7. It can improve your relationship

Sharing the bed with your partner? This goes without saying but sleeping naked can actually lead to better intimacy with your partner.
