Currently, more than 150,000 households in Quebec are experiencing power outages due to the heavy rain and strong winds on Wednesday night.

At 9:01 AM, the areas with the highest number of power outages were Montérégie with 39,434, Montreal with 21,330, and Estrie with 17,079.

Hydro Québec used Twitter to inform its users that 470 of its teams were actively working on resolving the outages.

Montreal school boards, including the English Montreal School Board and Lester B. Pearson School Board, have recently announced the closure of several schools on Thursday because of power outages.
