If you plan to drive through Laval in the next few weeks, be prepared for increased traffic congestion on certain roads.

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility announced multiple closures in the Laval area beginning on March 8, 2024.

The Papineau-Leblanc bridge and a section of Highway 19 will undergo full closure from March 8 at 10 pm to March 11 at 4:30 am. Southbound traffic will be closed between Highway 440 and Henri-Bourrassa, while northbound traffic will be affected from Henri-Bourassa to de la Concorde Boulevard.

You can still access Montreal using the bridges on highway 15 and the Pie-IX bridge.

Work on the Industriel Boulevard exit ramp by the highway 440 and highway 15 in Laval will resume on March 11.

From March 18 to 28, the entire service road of Highway 15 heading north towards Highway 440 will be closed, along with the ramps at the interchange of Highways 440 and 15.

The speed limit will be lowered to 80 km/h on the expressways of highways 440 and 15 within construction zones, and to 50 km/h on the service roads.

Make sure to consult Québec 511 before you head out on the road.
