Well, Montreal - after being open for 47 years, Bar-B-Barn has officially closed its doors.

The restaurant has decided to shut down service one week earlier than planned, because of supply challenges and an unexpectedly high demand.

Since opening in 1976 on Guy Street in downtown Montreal, followed by a second location on Sources Boulevard in the West Island, the restaurant has been a staple in Montreal for many years.

This is not the first time a Montreal restaurant closes its doors for good earlier than announced. Earlier this year, NDG's Momesso shut its doors five days ahead of schedule.

We will miss their delicious ribs and chicken… Thank you for serving Montreal for all these years Bar-B-Barn!
