Nicole Kidman has admitted that red carpet events can be "overwhelming".
The Australian star has confessed that she often longs for her pyjamas when she is on the red carpet.
"I want to get out, take my dress off, and put my jammies on," Nicole told Elle U.S. magazine in a recent interview. "It's kind of like the opposite of Cinderella - I'm happy to go home and just go back to me. It does feel a little overwhelming."
The 56-year-old continued, "I'm like, 'I need to go home now. I'm very tired. I want to get warm, and I want to curl up, and I want to feel real.'"
The Big Little Lies star appeared on the cover of Elle's April 2024 Impact Issue wearing an all-black Dolce & Gabbana ensemble and Cartier jewellery. The cover shows Nicole sitting on a stool and gazing into the camera.
The actress posed for a series of photos for the cover shoot, wearing a variety of outfits, including a fitted, one-sleeved red Balenciaga dress.
She became a brand ambassador for the luxury fashion house last year.
"Balenciaga has been with me through some of the most memorable events in my life, from my wedding to the Oscars red carpet," the Moulin Rouge! star told the publication.
