Unfortunate news for Montreal drivers planning to use Décarie and Papineau-Leblanc Bridge as both will undergo significant road closures during the upcoming weekend.
Starting with Highway 15, known as Décarie, the Ministry of Transport has announced that construction will impact the highway from 11:59 pm on April 5 until 5 am on Monday, April 8.
The following ramps will be closed:
- A-40 east to A-15 south
- A-40 to A-15 south
- Boulevard Marcel Laurin to A-15 south
Furthermore, Exit no. 65, chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse east and west to A-40 east and west will also be closed. Lastly, rue de la Savane westbound between boulevards Décarie north and south will be closed as well.
As for the Papineau Leblanc Bridge, the closure will also take place from April 5 at 10pm until Monday April 8 at 4:30am.
When traveling from Montreal to Laval, it is advisable to take either the Pie-IX Bridge or the Médéric-Martin Bridge. However, if you are heading from Laval to Montreal, opt for the Pie-IX Bridge and the Louis-Bisson Bridge.
The Ministry of Transport recommends that drivers consult Québec 511 to plan their trip accordingly.
