If you're looking for an alternative location to view the Total Solar Eclipse instead of Parc Jean-Drapeau or the Montreal Science Centre, there's an app that can assist you with that!

The app, named My Eclipse (or Mon Éclipse in French), describes itself as "your personal guide to navigating and experiencing these celestial spectacles."

Using algorithms and trigonometry, the application provides users with precise information on the extent of the eclipse visible from their location.

Users can monitor the eclipse in real-time and receive text notifications for each phase of the event.

The app was released back in October 2023 by Université de Montréal students.

You can download it for free on Apple Store for iOS or Google Place Store for Android.
