There’s a new food venue coming to Montreal and it’s made out of… old metro cars!
Montreal’s MR-63 Pavilion, created by two Montreal brothers, is a $28.8 million project with a goal to become a spot for local art, design and food surrounded by eight converted metro cars.
According to their website, MR-63’s mission is to bring communities together and celebrate diversity, history and sustainability by building the location with the iconic 1966 metro cars.
Construction has already begun at Place William Dow in the Griffintown district between Peel and Ottawa streets.
The venue will be hosting an experiential preview on August 22, 2024 and will officially be open to the public in 2025.
