Tina Knowles has shared her pride over the way her daughter Beyoncé confronted childhood bullies.
The 70-year-old businesswoman is the proud mother of 42-year-old chart superstar Beyoncé and younger daughter Solange, 37.
Asked by Vogue for her favourite memories of her daughters from their youth, Tina said of Beyoncé, "She was very shy, and she got bullied a bit.
"But the day that she stood up for someone - she didn't stand up for herself she stood up for them. I'm getting emotional talking about it. I was just, I couldn't have been more proud of her."
Tina also praised her younger daughter for getting involved in activism at an early age.
She recalled her proudest moment, saying, "Solange was her signing a petition in school. She was only in, like, fifth grade and she was up getting petitions signed. So she's always been an activist."
Sharing the a clip of the Vogue interview on her Instagram page, Tina added a caption stating, "Each child is different! But all so special. I believe kids are born with their personalities... Learn their personalities and respect the individuality. Never compare the negatives, always praise the positive differences and pay attention to the things that you can brag on about them. They love it and it encourages positive behavior (sic)."
