Partnering with Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie and the Société de Développement Commercial de la Petite Italie, Jean-Talon Market is throwing open its doors to both grown-ups and kids for a summer of playful learning adventures!
The program is launching its event this June. Here are some events to mark on your calendar:
Culinary workshops for kids
What: Children from 3 to 12 will learn the basics of cooking by preparing age-appropriate recipes!
When: Saturday, June 8 (four 30 minutes workshops at noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
Educational Workshops about chicken
What: Learn all about chickens from where do eggs come from to what does a chicken need to live a healthy life at this educational workshop!
When: Sunday, June 9 (two 1 hour workshops at 10:30am and 12pm)
Gardening workshop: the basics of vegetable gardening
What: Learn about the essential principles that you would need to understand vegetable gardening.
When: Saturday, June 15 (three 1-hour workshops at 11am, 2pm and 3pm)
Cap graffiti workshop
What: Participants will learn about the history of graffiti in Montreal and will get to create their own graff on a ballcap to take home!
When: Saturday, June 22 (two 1h30 workshops at 1pm and 3pm)
Introductory circus workshop with Cirque Hors Piste
What: Both kids and adults can experience the circus arts of juggling directly at the market!
When: Sunday, June 23 (all afternoon from 1pm to 4:30pm)
