Sabrina Carpenter has revealed that Beyoncé's Lemonade album inspired her to experiment with different genres.

In a recent video interview with Vanity Fair, the pop star named Beyoncé's 2016 album as one that inspired her at the beginning of her music career.

"The one album that inspired me to really follow my gut and in experimenting with genre and not limiting myself was Lemonade," Sabrina, 25, said. "Like it really transcended every genre."

"She kind of had a little bit of everything in that album and it really made me feel like I didn't have to just stay in a box from there on out," the Espresso hitmaker continued. "So thanks Beyoncé, I love you."

Lemonade, Beyoncé's Grammy-winning sixth studio album, spawned hits such as Formation and Hold Up.

Sabrina, who got her big break when she was cast in Disney Channel's Girl Meets World in 2014, admitted being in the spotlight affects the way she makes decisions.

"Yeah, I'm not going to lie, like I definitely feel like a little bit more pressure on the words that I choose to say and just in general kind of like decisions," the Please Please Please singer told the publication. "But, I then also have to think about it on the scale of like, if the people that are judging my answers so harshly and critically were put in the same position, would they nail it and crush it every time? Probably not. So then I feel a little better."
