Will Smith has confirmed he will release a new album.
It will be his first album in nearly 20 years.
The actor and singer confirmed the news in an interview with Instagram account, Black Film Allies.
"Over the past year and a half, I've been in the studio," he said. "I have a project that is the most personal and powerful music project I've ever done. The idea of the music is, 'Dance in your darkest moments.'"
He didn't confirm a title or release date for the album, but there is an Instagram page and a website under construction, both titled Dance in Your Darkest Moments. The bio on the Instagram page says it's "a human wellness initiative designed to inspire self-exploration, encourage acceptance, & cultivate a celebration for life." It's believed to be in the genre of Gospel Rap.
The 55-year-old performed a new song, You Can Make It, at the BET Awards on 30 June which is currently sitting at 14 in the Gospel Songs chart.
He also recently posted a preview of a new collaboration with Russ, called Work of Art, that is due to be released on Friday.
Earlier this year, he released new music as part of the soundtrack for Bad Boys: Ride or Die; his song Light Em Up featured Sean Paul.
Will's last album, Lost and Found, was released in 2005.
