With no shortage of food festivals in Montreal this summer, we certainly do not mind when a new one pops up—especially when it’s affordable! The new festival, called Fringale, is located in Saint-Leonard, and with each dish costing $8 or less, it’s definitely the type of festival that interests us!

Similar to what Les Premiers Vendredi has been doing this summer, Fringale guides you through a global culinary adventure, highlighting a different cuisine every weekend.

Take a look at the dates and food themes below:

  • August 9 to 11: Fragrances of Asia
  • August 16 to 18: Maghreb and Middle Eastern delicacies
  • August 23 to 25: Caribbean and Latin American delights
  • August 30 to September 2: Culinary world tour

You can find the participating restaurants on rue Jean-Talon Est, offering a couple of specialties in a tasting format for $8 or less before taxes.
