Exciting news for Laval and its surrounding areas: the City of Laval has unveiled plans for Carré Laval, a dynamic mixed-use urban space featuring housing, businesses, green areas, and more.
Covering nearly 22 hectares, this new low-carbon neighbourhood will be developed on the Lagacé quarry site near Highway 15. Laval Mayor Stéphane Boyer highlighted that the project will create a unique environment with a community of over 3,500 units.
“We will provide a range of affordable housing and aim to create a neighbourhood where people can live, work, and play,” said Boyer.
The City of Laval has secured $10 million in financial aid for the site's redevelopment, which will be overseen by The Angus Development Corporation (SDA) during the project's initial phase.
