Taylor Swift and Post Malone have lavished praise on each other after taking out the Best Collaboration award for Fortnight at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
The trophy, presented by an excitable Flavor Flav and 2024 Team USA gymnast Jordan Chiles, was accepted first by Swift, who announced, "There is a very clear reason why Post Malone is everyone in music's favourite person to collaborate with. It is because you are so ridiculously talented."
The 14-time Grammy winner then passed the microphone to Malone who in turn said Swift was "one of the most kind and talented people I've ever had the honour of knowing".
Released on 19 April, the Fortnight music video dropped on the same day as Swift's Billboard 200-topping album, The Tortured Poets Department.
The 2024 VMAs kicked off on Wednesday night US time at New York's UBS Arena.
Going into the night, Taylor Swift led all nominees with 12 nods, with her Fortnight collaborator Post Malone snapping at her heels with 11.
The VMAs are presented by the cable channel MTV to honour the best in the music video arena. The 2024 Awards were held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on Wednesday 11 September.
The ceremony was originally scheduled to take place on 10 September but was rescheduled to avoid conflict with the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
