Ciara wanted to pay homage to early 2000s nostalgia with her clothing collection for Bebe.

The 38-year-old singer, who shot to fame in 2004 with her debut single Goodies, wanted to channel that era with her brand-new collection for the clothing retailer.

"(The range is) inspired from the Y2K energy and then some," she told People. "I wanted to make sure we're still tapping into now in the new, but again, those core aesthetics we've always loved about Bebe was really important to me. So, I wanted to make sure that we incorporated that in this new collection. And she is edgy, she is sleek, she is fun, she's vibrant, she's confident, she's bold, she's cool, she's that girl."

The Bebe x Ciara collection features a mix of clothing sets, suits, separates, dresses, denim, sportswear, and accessories in Ciara's favourite colours - black, metallics, naturals, rich greens, deep blues, and luxe jewel tones.

The 1, 2 Step singer, who serves as the creative director and face of the fall 2024 campaign, was closely involved in the design process of the collection by identifying silhouettes, colour palettes, details and fabrics and sharing inspiration from her favourite garments.

Ciara told People she wanted the capsule to offer versatile pieces that offer consumers a complete day or night wardrobe.

"You have everything that you need to dress down and be super cool and effortless, and to also dress up and go out for a night with your girls or date night. Everything you need is in this collection, which was important to me," she stated.

The first drop was released on bebe.com and in select retailers this week, while the second collection will arrive in early October.
