James Blunt has announced a string of North American tour dates in support of the 20th anniversary of his album Back To Bedlam.

Blunt took to social media to announce the US tour, which will kick off in June next year and run through to early July. It will also include stops in cities across Canada and Mexico.

At all shows, Blunt will perform tracks from the 20-year-old record - which was released on 11 October 2004 - plus "all the classic hits" according to his Instagram announcement.

Blunt's debut record is best known for its breakout single You're Beautiful.

The 10-track album also features the piano ballad Goodbye My Lover and the rhapsodic Out Of My Mind.

In 2006, Back To Bedlam saw James Blunt receive NME's award for Worst Album.

Blunt's US dates are in addition to a previously announced upcoming tour across the UK and Europe. The tour kicks off in Belfast on 11 February with dates in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and London before moving on to the continent.

Prior to announcing the North American leg of the Back To Bedlam anniversary tour, Blunt revealed that he would legally change his name to "whatever the public wants" on the condition that his debut album lands the Number One spot on the charts for its 20th celebrations.
