We know it’s hard to believe winter is on its way, especially with the warmer-than-usual weather we’ve been enjoying this fall… but believe us, winter is coming—and Montreal is ready!

The City of Montreal has officially released its lineup of festivities for the 2024-2025 winter season, and there's a lot to look forward to!

Here are a few highlights coming soon:

  • The refrigerated skating rink will return to Quartier des Spectacles’ Esplanade Tranquille around mid-November, alongside Le Grand Marché de Noël, opening on November 22.
  • The Luminothérapie light installations will illuminate 15 public areas downtown from late November until early March.
  • For festivals, Igloofest will be back from January 16 to February 8, and Montréal en Lumière will take place from February 27 to March 9.
