If you’re planning to travel using the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel this weekend, consider taking an alternate route.

The tunnel and Highway 25 southbound will be closed at night only, from Friday into Saturday and Saturday into Sunday.

A complete closure of Highway 25 towards Montreal will occur between Exit 90 and the Sherbrooke Street East entrance, starting Friday at 11 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.

Highway 25 towards the South Shore will also be closed between Exit 5 and the Charron Island entrance from Friday at 11 p.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m., and from Saturday at 11 p.m. to Sunday at 9 a.m.

Additionally, starting November 18, traffic on Highway 25 northbound will be redirected to a new section between the Souligny interchange and Sherbrooke Street. The Notre-Dame Street entrance to the highway will remain closed until the end of 2025.
