Céline Dion thanks fans for 'unwavering support' amid health crisis

Céline Dion has thanked her fans for their "unwavering support" amid her health challenges.

The Canadian superstar took to Instagram on New Year's Eve to share a candid message for her 8.9 million followers in which she reflected on the past year.

"As we wrap up another year together, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support," she captioned a photo of herself posing with praying hands.

In December 2022, Céline announced that she had been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called stiff-person syndrome.

After undergoing various treatments, the My Heart Will Go On hitmaker made her musical comeback at the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony by singing Hymne à l'amour from the Eiffel Tower in July.

She also made a special appearance at Elie Saab's fashion show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in November.

To conclude her message, Céline wished all of her fans a wonderful holiday period.

"Your love and energy inspire me every day. I wish you all a joyful holiday season filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished moments with loved ones," the 56-year-old continued, adding: "Here's to endless possibilities in the coming year. Wishing you a safe holiday and a fabulous New Year!"
