Katy Perry has lashed out at an accuser amid an ongoing legal battle over her home.

The 40-year-old chart-topping star has been locked in a legal dispute with the former owner of her mansion in Montecito - who claimed he signed the property away while under the influence of painkillers.

Courts agreed in 2023 that the sale was valid, however, leaving the path clear for Perry to move into the multi-million dollar property.

However, the family of 85-year-old veteran Carl Wescott, who is receiving hospice care for Huntington's disease, have been taking legal action against the singer following his claim he did not intend to sell - and she, in turn, has counter-sued for damages.

A court case is due to commence next month, but Perry's team have slammed Wescott's family for attempting to subpoena her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, as part of the case.

The Daily Mail have shared court documents that show Perry's lawyers and her manager Bernie Gudvi arguing, "The ulterior motive of the subpoena to Mr. Bloom is self-evident: Westcott wants to continue turning the case into a media circus, either out of personal animus toward (Perry) and her family or in a misguided effort to leverage an unfair settlement."

Blasting a subpoena order that was served last November, Perry's team argued, "Mr. Bloom has no knowledge remotely bearing on the facts of this case."

They added, "Indeed, all those areas are the appropriate subject of expert testimony from some of the nineteen licensed contractors and sub-contractors who inspected the property."

The documents add, "It was one thing to seek testimony from (Perry) despite her limited knowledge of relevant facts in the damages phase; it is another to drag into these proceedings Mr. Bloom, who has no demonstrated knowledge of any relevant facts and was not the subject of any discovery."

The upcoming trial is due to commence in California on 25 February.
