Kristen Bell is finally embracing her natural hair colour after years of dyeing it much lighter.

The Nobody Wants This star has rocked a bright blonde look for much of her career but has recently turned her back on full dye jobs to embrace her darker shade - and she's noticed a huge difference in her hair's health.

"I'm loving it so much," she said in an interview with People. "I still get a few highlights, but it's pretty much my natural colour now, and I love it. And my hair is so much healthier because of it."

Bell joked that she'd "passed the torch" to her daughters Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 10, as they have very light blonde hair.

"I've done it for the last few years, and I've really passed the torch. I have two towhead (light blonde) children; I'm letting them be the bright blonde," she continued. "I'm fading into the background, and I'm loving it."

Elsewhere in the interview, the Veronica Mars star admitted that her nighttime skincare routine is minimal because she's so busy dealing with the "chaos" of trying to get her daughters to sleep.

"I don't have room in my life for more than the absolute efficient amount of steps (of a skincare routine)," she stated.

However, the actress tries to unwind before bed each evening by hitting the sauna with her husband Dax Shepard.

"I find the things I need the most are moments in my evening where my body senses a transition. So that's why the sauna is so great because my body gets in there and it goes, now we're leaving work behind, we're leaving a racing mind behind," Bell shared.

The 44-year-old currently stars in a campaign for Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair serum.
