Just six months after the November/December Canada Post strike, the organization’s 55,000 employees could be heading back to the picket lines. The extension on existing agreements between the Crown corporation and the union is set to expire on May 22.
If no new deal is reached by that date, thousands of workers may once again go on strike.
The situation is especially concerning given the current uncertainty around shifting U.S. tariffs, which makes it even more important to support national businesses.
