The STM maintenance workers’ 9-day strike officially begins today

Starting today, June 9, approximately 2,400 maintenance employees of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) have launched a 9-day strike, causing service disruptions expected to last until June 17, 2025 — with an exception for Grand Prix weekend.

The strike will impact service levels throughout the week, with schedules varying by date.

Despite the disruption, no compensation will be offered to users who have already purchased monthly or weekly passes.
