Happy 30th birthday to the iconic McFlurry!
This delicious McDonald’s treat is officially entering a new decade—and it's doing so with a sweet new twist.
Did you know the McFlurry is 100% Canadian? It was invented in June 1995 by Ron McLellan at the McDonald’s location in Bathurst, New Brunswick.
To celebrate the milestone, McDonald’s is launching two brand-new McFlurry flavours:
- Birthday Cake McFlurry – made with vanilla soft serve, confetti cookie dough, and birthday cake syrup.
- Cheesecake McFlurry – served with your choice of four flavour toppings: Strawberry, Fudge, Caramel, or Oreo.
But that’s not all—McDonald’s Canada is also rolling out a special campaign called “An East Coast Original” to honour the McFlurry’s East Coast roots. The campaign will showcase a variety of artworks designed to celebrate the region and spark national pride.
