Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Montreal, with a risk of a tornado in effect.
According to the alert, conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, hail, and heavy downpours this afternoon and evening.
Residents are being advised to stay indoors and limit driving, as heavy rain, strong winds, and hail can make road conditions extremely hazardous.
