3 Montreal Beaches You Can Get to by Metro

Summer is in full swing, and what better way to beat the heat than by heading to the beach? Luckily, you don’t have to go far — Montreal has several accessible spots where you can soak up the sun without needing a car.

Here are three beaches you can easily reach by metro:

Verdun Beach
How to get there: Take the metro to De l’Église station. You can also take bus lines 37 or 12.
When: Open now until September 7, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
How much: Free

Jean-Doré Beach
How to get there: Take the metro to Jean-Drapeau station, then hop on the 768 shuttle to the beach.
When: Open now until September 1, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
How much: Free for children under 2 years old. It costs $4.22 for children (3-13 years old), $8.26 for adults (14 and 64 years old) and $7.46 for those who are 65 years old and over.

Clock Tower Beach
How to get there: While swimming isn't allowed here, it’s a great spot to relax with a beachy vibe. Take the metro to Square-Victoria–OACI and walk toward the Old Port.
When: Open now until September 1, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
How much: Free admission daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on fireworks nights.
