If having more time to shop on weekends sounds like a good plan to you, this might be exciting news!
The Quebec government has approved a pilot project allowing retail stores to stay open until 8 PM on weekends.
So far, only three cities have been selected for the test run: Laval, Gatineau, and Saint-Georges.
Currently, most grocery stores and retail shops in Quebec close by 5 PM on weekends.
According to the announcement, the project is expected to launch sometime this summer, although an official start date has not yet been confirmed.
