Mariah Carey is getting ready to announce her new album.
The release will be her long-awaited follow-up album to 2018's Caution. Various industry sources have speculated that it will arrive on 21 July.
Carey teased the news on social media over the weekend.
Just a day after previewing a new song called Sugar Sweet, the singer dropped another hint - this time for her new LP.
At the very end of the 37-second clip, the text "MC16" appears. Her post on X featuring the clip shows the title "MC16 - Announcement Tomorrow".
Although details are scarce, last month the pop star did confirm that her new album is complete.
"What is next? The album coming out. I don't wanna tell too much about it because I just don't want to reveal the whole thing. It's finished," she revealed in an Apple Music interview in June.
Carey released Type Dangerous in June. She then uploaded a sneak peek of the light pop track Sugar Sweet, playing in a cute clip of herself baking in the kitchen, on Saturday.
Carey has to date released 15 studio albums, two soundtrack albums, seven compilation albums, four extended plays, and one remix album.
She is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 200 million records sold globally.
