Taylor Swift has explained why Ed Sheeran only learned of her engagement via Instagram.
The Wood singer confirmed her good friend Ed only learned of her engagement to Travis Kelce via an Instagram post, but had a solid explanation for the oversight.
"I have a perfect explanation," Taylor, 35, told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.
"He doesn't have a phone! And this is one thing I love about him. It's very eccentric. Love it. But when I'm going through saying, 'Hey, who should we call? Who should we FaceTime?' I'm going through my texts and being like, 'Who have I texted within the last like, month of my life, and he just wasn't there'"
She added that Ed, 34, can only be contacted via email and must track down his iPad if he wants to have a video call.
"This is one of my absolute favourite people on the planet," Taylor gushed. "Then, when the news came out I was like, 'Oh my God, we forgot to call Ed! Oh no!'"
She continued, "He's like family. I love him. But he doesn't have a phone!"
After The Tonight Show posted a clip from the interview to TikTok, Ed confirmed Taylor's claims by commenting, "Hello from my allotted iPad time, this is factual."
