The iconic Toys R Us Canada is continuing the shutdown of its stores across the country, leaving only one location in Quebec after the holiday season.

The company announced that its stores in Quebec City, Laval, and Brossard will close on January 5, resulting in over 50 employees being laid off.

Toys R Us’s U.S. parent company filed for bankruptcy protection back in 2017, although the Canadian division had remained open with 82 stores at the time.

While it’s sad news for anyone who grew up with the brand, at least one store will remain for now in Saint-Bruno!
