Montreal’s First Deep Freeze of the Season Hits Today

Well Montreal… ready or not, the wind chill has officially arrived!

The city is bracing for its first extra-cold snap of the season, with temperatures dipping fast. By midday Thursday, the thermometer will read around –9 degrees Celsius, but the wind chill will make it feel closer to –21 degrees Celsius.

Overnight, conditions get even colder, it’ll feel like –23 degrees Celsius before things slightly “warm up” on Friday, when the wind chill should hover around –19 degrees Celsius.

As for the weekend, bundle up. Expect chilly conditions, a chance of flurries, and highs ranging from -1 degrees Celsius to –9 degrees Celsius.
