With the holidays around the corner, many travellers have flights booked and if yours is with Air Transat, there’s some news you’ll want to know.
The Air Line Pilots Association, which represents Air Transat pilots, announced today that 99% of its members have voted in favour of authorizing a strike.
The union can issue a 72-hour strike notice any time after December 10, following a mandatory 21-day cooling-off period that began when both sides left conciliation on November 18.
Pilots say they’re frustrated with working under a collective agreement that hasn’t been updated since 2015 which is nearly a decade.
While no strike notice has been issued yet, Air Transat says customers can make changes to their bookings, according to an update on the airline’s website.
