While Montreal is famous for staples like poutine, bagels, and smoked meat, The New York Times suggests we officially add rotisserie chicken to that list.

In a recent piece for the paper, food reporter Brett Anderson argued that our rotisserie chicken deserves a spot alongside Canada’s most iconic culinary classics.

He gave special recognition to several local gems, including Little Italy’s Rôtisserie La Lune, the legendary Chalet Bar-B-Q in N.D.G., and the ubiquitous St-Hubert. He also gave a nod to Portuguese-style favorites like Coco-Rico and Romados.
