Hydro-Québec workers are preparing to strike this week, with the walkout scheduled to begin overnight between Wednesday and Thursday.
Approximately 9,000 employees represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), affiliated with the FTQ, are striking specifically by refusing to work overtime.
Despite the labor action, Hydro-Québec management has confirmed that employees are still required to provide essential services to handle emergencies or power outages.
