Eastern Quebec is getting a new area code in 2027

Starting February 27, 2027, Eastern Quebec will introduce a new area code: 273.

This new code will overlay the region currently served by 418, 581, and 367. It will impact areas including Quebec City, Saguenay, Lévis, Trois-Rivières, Gaspé, Rimouski, and the Côte-Nord region.

Rest assured, the transition will not affect existing phone numbers, local calling areas, or emergency services like 911.
