The highly anticipated new terminal at Montreal Metropolitan Airport finally opened on Monday as its first flight took off.
Airport officials stated that the terminal was designed to improve travel access for over three million Quebecers across Montreal, the Montérégie, and the Eastern Townships.
Featuring nine gates, 900 seats, and two baggage carousels, the terminal will initially host Porter Airlines and Pascan Aviation, offering flights across Canada. Additionally, a new express shuttle service called the METbus will connect the airport directly to the Longueuil-Université-de-Sherbrooke métro station.
