Happy Ariana Grande week to all the Arianators seeing the pop star at the Bell Centre for her Montreal tour stops!

To celebrate her arrival, we’re spotlighting Grande’s track “hate that I made you love me” as this week’s Beat of the Week.

Serving as the official lead single for her upcoming eighth studio album, Petal (out July 31st), the track was released on May 29th and co-written and produced alongside Ilya Salmanzadeh and Max Martin.

The hit became Grande’s eighth number-one debut on the Billboard Global 200, topping charts in the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, and Switzerland while climbing the top ten across Europe and Australia. Grande even shared on Instagram that it's one of her favorite songs she's ever written!

Directed by Christian Breslauer and co-starring Justin Long, the accompanying music video brings a fun, comedy-horror twist to the track.
