Time to look up at the sky, Montreal! We aren't getting just one, but two eclipses in the same month, and it’s going to be pretty spectacular.
The first event, a partial solar eclipse, takes place on August 12. While it won’t bring the near-total darkness we experienced back in 2024, it’s still going to be an awesome sight.
Later in the month, overnight from August 27 to 28, we’ll get a partial lunar eclipse, with about 93% of the moon covered in shadow.
To top it all off, the Perseid meteor shower will also put on a show, peaking overnight on August 12 into the 13th.
