Montreal Canadiens extend Martin St-Louis’ contract as head coach

Big news in the hockey world: the Montreal Canadiens have extended head coach Martin St-Louis with a four-season contract extension.

Under St-Louis’s leadership, the Habs reached the Conference Finals in the 2025–26 season. 

Additionally, Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced that Josh Anderson will serve as an alternate captain alongside Nick Suzuki.
