Montreal named the #1 friendliest city in Canada!

A new global ranking just revealed the friendliest cities in the world, and Montreal made an impressive showing!

Travel company Fernwayer recently released its 2026 Friendliest Cities Index, evaluating 200 of the world’s most popular tourist destinations. Montreal topped every other Canadian city in the study, securing 12th place globally with a friendliness score of 92.5 out of 100.

Globally, Mérida, Mexico claimed the top spot with a score of 95.0, followed by Glasgow, Scotland, and Bogotá, Colombia.
